500 eKr - jäid eestlased paikseks. Tekkisid esimesed linnused ja külad
                500 BC - Estonians settled down. First strongholds and villages were established
1208 – algas eestlaste vägivaldne ristiusustamine.
                        - the beginning of Christianization of Estonia by force

1227 – Saaremaa alistamine ja Eesti jagamine Taani kuninga, Saksa Ordu, Saare-Lääne piiskopi ja Tartu piiskopi vahel
                        - Saaremaa was conquered. Estonia was divided between the Danish king, the German Teutonic Order, the Bishopric of Oesel-Wiek and
                            the Bishopric of Dorpat
1343 – Jüriöö ülestõus, eestlased püüdsid taastada oma vabaduse
                        - St.George's Night Uprising. Estonians tried to regain independence
1632 – Tartu Ülikooli asutamine - esimene ülikool Eestis
                        - the foundation of Tartu University - the first university in Estonia

1684 – esimeste talurahvakoolide asutamine
                        - first peasant schools were founded
1739 – ilmus eestikeelne piibel
                        - the Bible in Estonian was published

1816 – Talurahvaseadusega vabastati eestlased pärisorjusest ja võeti kasutusele perekonnanimed
                        - in accordance with the law of peasantry, serfdom was abolished and family names were put into force
1851 – alustati hariduse andmist Leisis Tuulingu talus
                        - the beginning of schooling on Tuulingu farm in Leisi
1857 – ilmus Kalevipoeg – F.R.Kreutzwaldi koostatud rahvuseepos
                        - national epic Kalevipoeg was published by F.R.Kreutzwald
 
1869 – toimus I üldlaulupidu Tartus
                        - the first all-Estonian Song Festival took place in Tartu

1884 – Otepääl õnnistati Eesti Üliõpilaste Seltsi sinimustvalge lipp, millest hiljem sai Eesti rahvuslipp
                        - the blue-black-and-white flag of the Estonian Students' Society, which later became the national flag of Estonia, was consecrated in Otepää
24.02.1918 – kuulutati välja Eesti Vabariik
                                - the Republic of Estonia was proclaimed
2.10.1927 – toimus uue algkoolihoone avaaktus

21.12.1934 – sündis Hendrik Krumm, Leisi Keskkooli I lennu lõpetanud Eesti rahvakunstnik, ooperilaulja, tuntuim vilistlane
                                - Henrik Krumm, a popular singer and the first-year and best-known graduate of Leisi Secondary School, was born

17.06.1940 – kuulutati välja Eesti Nõukoguse Sotsialistlik Vabariik, algas nõukogude okupatsioon.
                                - the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic was proclaimed; the Soviet occupation started
1950 – alustas Leisi Keskkooli I lend
                        - first graduates started their studies at Leisi Secondary School

1983 – valmis Leisi Keskkooli uus koolihoone
                        - the new school building was completed in Leisi

12.04.1989 – suri Hendrik Krumm
                                - Hendrik Krumm died
20.08.1991 – Eesti Vabariigi taasiseseisvumine
